The Vice President works closely with the entire board to ensure the program runs efficiently, making this a vital position in supporting Liberty Softball’s success.

Secretary

The Secretary is a crucial role that ensures the Liberty Softball program stays organized and on track. Responsibilities include taking detailed notes at booster meetings, recording attendance for each meeting, and collecting contact information from attendees. The Secretary is also responsible for maintaining meeting minutes and sharing them with the Communications & Media Committee for posting.

Additionally, the Secretary keeps the LibertyLionsSoftballAZ calendar updated with important events, meetings, and games. They coordinate the attendance of the Booster Board at monthly LPC meetings to ensure that all relevant information is shared and communicated effectively. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring that all team-related activities are properly documented and scheduled.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for managing the financial operations of the Liberty Softball Booster Club. This role ensures accurate financial reporting to the Board, maintains bank accounts, and oversees all transactions related to the program.

Key responsibilities include keeping detailed financial records, maintaining payment links in Zeffy and Square, and depositing cash from the concession stand. The Treasurer plays a vital role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and financial stability for the booster club, helping to support the team’s ongoing needs and fundraising efforts.

Member at Large

The Member at Large serves as a flexible and supportive role within the Liberty Softball Booster Club, assisting with various tasks and initiatives as needed. This position provides input on board decisions, helps oversee committees, and supports booster events and fundraisers.

COMMITTEE POSITIONS: *do not have to experience to volunteer

Events & Spirit (5)

The Events & Spirit Committee is responsible for planning and organizing key Liberty Softball events, ensuring that each occasion is memorable and well-executed. This committee oversees Spirit Nights, Senior Night, and the End-of-Season Banquet, including selecting vendors, managing pricing, and handling decorations.
Members of this committee play a crucial role in creating a vibrant and spirited atmosphere by decorating the stands before games and setting up banquet spaces in advance. Their efforts help foster team camaraderie and celebrate the athletes’ hard work throughout the season.

Communication & Media (2)

The Communication & Media Committee is responsible for keeping the Liberty Softball community informed and engaged through various digital platforms. This includes creating social media content, updating the team website, sending newsletters, and managing team outreach while ensuring all materials adhere to Liberty High School’s brand standards.

With access to easy-to-use templates provided by a program paid for by Liberty HS, committee members can efficiently design and share high-quality content, making communication streamlined and effective. Their work helps promote the team, celebrate achievements, and keep players, families, and supporters connected throughout the season.

Field & Concessions (5)

The Concessions Committee plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and successful game-day experience by overseeing the setup, staffing, and operation of the concession stand. Responsibilities include managing volunteers, stocking supplies, and organizing a food plan to keep the stand well-prepared for each event.

Fundraising (2)

The Fundraising Committee is dedicated to securing sponsorships and raising funds to support Liberty Softball. This committee encourages members to tap into their personal and professional networks by reaching out to businesses or individuals who may be interested in sponsoring the team. By sending connections a link to the sponsorship programs, committee members help generate vital support.

Additionally, the committee is responsible for tracking sponsors, purchasing banners, and ensuring that each sponsor receives the benefits promised through their selected sponsorship package. Their efforts are crucial in sustaining the program and ensuring sponsors feel valued and appreciated.

Freshman Team & Junior Varsity Team Parent(s)

The JV & Freshman Team Parents Committee is designed to give parents a voice and support the unique needs of the JV and Freshman teams. Often, these teams may feel overlooked, but by becoming a committee member, you can help amplify their experience and ensure their needs are met.

This committee works to identify what these teams need, whether it’s a parent to live stream games, organize walk-up songs, or manage GameChanger and music during events. Committee members help reach out to other parents within these divisions, ensuring everyone is involved and the teams are fully supported throughout the season. Your involvement makes a big difference in creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for JV and Freshman players.
